Lite mode only
Phones don't sync blockchains — it drains battery and fills storage. Sia Wallet Mobile queries the same consensus node pool as desktop lite mode. First-run to first receiving address: about 30 seconds.
Roadmap · 90 days from v2.12.0 launch
Siacoin has not had a reliable native mobile wallet. Sia Wallet Mobile ships iOS and Android simultaneously within 90 days of the desktop release — lite-mode only, biometric-gated, QR-paired with the desktop, and built on the same open-source codebase.
For most of Siacoin's history, holding SC on mobile has meant one of three bad options. Run the third-party Sia Android app that ships as a full-node — taking days to sync on a phone and generating enough heat to shorten the battery. Use Atomic Wallet, whose multi-coin iOS build was pulled from the App Store and whose June 2023 security incident still looms. Or stay desktop-only and miss every transaction that isn't at your desk.
Siacoin is a utility coin on a proof-of-work network that produces a block roughly every ten minutes. People who use SC actually use it — for contracts, for rentals, for active storage work. A utility coin without mobile is a utility coin at half capability.
Feature
Native iOS and Android apps, lite-mode only, biometric-gated, pairing with your desktop wallet via QR code or seed import. Built on the same MIT-licensed codebase as desktop.
Advantage
No full-node sync on your phone. No heat. No battery drain. No waiting. No compromised iOS App Store availability. No multi-coin bloat — the app is Sia-native end to end.
Benefit
Your full Siacoin balance in your pocket, approvable with Face ID, Touch ID, or Android fingerprint. Push notifications for incoming transactions. Paired to your desktop — one wallet, two surfaces.

Face ID on iPhone. Touch ID on older iPhones and iPads. Android fingerprint where supported, with PIN fallback. Every outbound transaction requires biometric confirmation, even if the app is already unlocked.
Scan a QR shown on your desktop Sia Wallet to import your accounts as watch-only on mobile. Sign on desktop, broadcast from mobile — or generate a separate mobile seed for small-balance daily use.
Opt-in notifications for incoming transactions, confirmation milestones, and wallet-relevant network events. Notifications contain no address data — just amount and confirmation status.
Nano X Bluetooth signing ships in the quarterly release after mobile launch. In the meantime, mobile runs as watch-only with desktop Ledger signing — an established setup pattern from other major wallets.
Both a Play Store listing and a side-loadable APK available directly from siawallet.tech. For users on de-Googled Android, F-Droid is on the roadmap.
iOS TestFlight invites and Android closed-beta APKs will go out about 30 days before public launch. Drop your email and we'll send one invite — no newsletter subscription, no follow-ups.
Email is held in a single CSV, used once for the beta invite, and deleted after launch.
Within 90 days of the desktop v2.12.0 release. Apple App Store review can add up to two weeks of variance on the iOS side. The exact release date will be posted on this site, the official download page, and the Sia Wallet social channels about two weeks before launch.
At launch: full send, receive, address book, transaction history, SC/USD price display, QR pairing with desktop. Not at launch: Ledger signing (Q3), multi-signature flows (Q4), legacy seed migration (desktop-only — migration is a one-time operation best done on a screen with a keyboard). Roadmap is public.
Yes. Sia Wallet Mobile accepts any 12-word BIP39 seed — including the seed you generated on desktop. Importing gives you full signing capability on mobile. For smaller daily balances, many users prefer a separate mobile seed with a smaller amount of SC, treating mobile like a 'pocket wallet.'
Yes. A side-loadable APK is available directly from siawallet.tech in addition to the Play Store listing. Install with developer-mode side-loading enabled, as per standard Android instructions.
The iOS build runs on iPad with a scaled layout at launch — a dedicated iPad interface is on the Q3 roadmap. The Android build runs on Android tablets and Chromebooks through Google Play's Android runtime. ChromeOS native is a distinct roadmap item.
