Your keys are generated locally and stored on your machine. Sia Wallet cannot move your coins, reset your password, or recover a lost seed. That is the trade-off, and the point, of self-custody.
How recovery works →Sia Wallet is an MIT-licensed fork of walletd, the reference Sia wallet from the Sia Foundation. All walletd server features are preserved under Advanced. Fixes are offered back upstream.
About Sia Wallet →Sia-UI was retired in 2024 and its 28 or 29-word seeds do not work directly in post-v2 wallets. The built-in migration assistant handles the move in one guided flow.
Legacy seed migration →ProseBlock
Sia Wallet is a desktop (PC) wallet for Siacoin. It runs natively on Windows 10 and later, macOS 11 Big Sur and later (Apple Silicon and Intel), and modern x86_64 Linux distributions (Ubuntu 20.04+, Fedora 35+, Arch). Pick your operating system from the download cards above — installation takes about 60 seconds and the wallet is ready to receive SC immediately after the first-run wizard.
There is no browser-based or web version of Sia Wallet by design: a non-custodial wallet that holds your private keys should not run inside a tab where any extension can read its memory. PC desktop installation keeps your keys on your machine, encrypted on disk.

There is no official Sia Wallet Android app today. Mobile (iOS and Android) is on the post-v2.12.0 roadmap — the same 12-word BIP39 seed you generate in the desktop wallet will import into the mobile wallet when it ships, so any Siacoin you hold today is forward-compatible.
In the meantime, if you need mobile read-only access to your balance, you can monitor any Sia Wallet address using a public block explorer such as siascan.com from your phone's browser. For sending and receiving SC, use the desktop wallet on a PC, Mac, or Linux machine, or pair a Ledger Nano X (which supports Bluetooth) with the desktop app.

There is no official Sia Wallet iOS app today. iOS support is on the post-v2.12.0 roadmap alongside Android. When the iPhone and iPad app ships, it will import the same 12-word BIP39 seed you create on desktop — your wallet is portable across devices via the seed.
If you see a 'Sia Wallet' or 'Siacoin Wallet' app on the App Store right now claiming to be official, it is not from this project. The only places to download Sia Wallet today are siawallet.tech/download and the official download page.

Sia Wallet integrates with Ledger Nano S and Nano X hardware wallets natively over USB and (on Nano X) Bluetooth — no experimental browser flags, no third-party bridges. To use a Ledger with Sia Wallet, install the Sia app on your Ledger device via Ledger Live, then download the Sia Wallet desktop app from this page and choose 'Add hardware wallet' in the first-run wizard. Signing happens on the Ledger device; the keys never touch your computer.
This is the recommended setup for long-term Siacoin storage. See the hardware wallet feature page and the connect-Ledger guide for the full step-by-step.
